Distribution: Found in sandy areas in Namaqualand.

Description: Bruinsvigia radulosa is a geophyte with an oval or globose bulb.  There are two to six narrow, velvety leaves that spread flat on
the ground.

Flower: The red or pink upcurved flowers form an umbel.

Grower:  Mother Nature

Common names:  Kandelaar (Afrikaans) Eng translation, "Candelabra".
