Ferraria divartica

Family:  Iridaceae
Distribution: Found in  sand or shale in Namaqualand, Karoo and Kalahari.
Description:  A perennial herb (45 cm in height) with a corm.  The linear to oblong blue-green leaves are narrow, entire and sheathed at the base. 
Flower: The spectacular flower appears in September-October.  Flowers (5.5 cm in diameter) can be yellow or green with purple-brown markings.  The margins of the segments are crisped.
