Description:  A perennial geophyte with a bulb, there are 2 to 4 basal linear leaves.

Flowers:  Many small white flowers (some segments are marked with a red mark) are borne on a dense spike - the flowers appear in April to September.

Propagation:  Seeds, bulbils, leaf propogation.

Common names:  Viooltjie (Afrikaans), English translation, "Violin".
