Description:  A perennial geophyte with a bulb, there are 1 to 2 basal lanceolate leaves.  The leaves are curved slightly inwards.

Flowers:  Many pink, bell-shaped flowers are borne on a dense pink spike - the flowers appear in April to September.

Common names:  Viooltjie (Afrikaans), English translation, "Violin".

Propagation:  Seeds.
