Distribution: Found on sandy flats and gravelly slopes in Namaquqaland and southward to the Cape Peninsula. |

Description: A perennial herb (60 cm in height) with a bulb. There are 2 - 4 blue - green, opposite, linear basal leaves (10 - 25 cm long and 3 - 20 mm broad), the upper surface of the leaf is channelled. |

Flower: The flowers (2.5 cm in diameter) are sweetly scented, yellow with green median stripes. Flowers open in the morning only. |
