Distribution:  Central Northern Cape, SE Western Cape & Eastern Cape.

Description:  The stems (150-300mm in height) have compressed angles incurving leaves and prominent teeth.

Flower:  The flower (150 mm in diameter) is rugose, dark purple-brown with dark red lines.  Long purple hairs appear on the lower areas of the lobes and disc.  The lobes are ciliate with white hairs.

Cultivation:  Shade/sun, little to moderate water.
